Description:

Aquiring scientific data in polar regions is demanding due to their extreme nature and remoteness. This session focusses on the specific needs and strategies for observatories, tools, instruments and sensors used in polar environments, both for terrestrial and marine operations, including submarine and icesheet installations. We encourage submissions related to scientific concepts and designs to monitor chemical, physical, biological or geophysical parameters. Contributions may cover design, calibration, experimental setup or operation of tools and instruments, including scientific results. We encourage to highlight capabilities of integrating instruments into larger infrastructures or research frameworks.
